Ads For Diet Pills: If It Sounds Too Good To Be True, It Probably Is!
Patricia Zifferblatt | March 1, 2007

Recently someone asked me, "Why doesn’t Better Life promote diet pills like those advertised on television by some big names in show business? They say their diet pill really works, and they lost umpteen pounds--yet when we call Better Life and ask you about the product, you advise us to check the research first. Is there research? And where can I find it?"

Ladies and gentlemen, here’s why Better Life has never promoted any type of diet pills. On January 4, 2007, the U.S. Federal Trade Commission stated it was levying fines totaling $25 million dollars for false advertising claims by four specific products sold through infomercials and celebrity endorsements. In addition, if you can’t find research supporting the claims made on television, there’s usually a good reason: it doesn’t exist. And the FTC is clamping down on these unfounded claims.

As much as medical research has achieved over the past years, a magic pill for fast, painless, no-effort weight loss has not been discovered. The best way to lose weight is very basic:

Eat less and exercise more!

At the beginning of every year, people get "religion" after they realize that they over-indulged during the holidays and their clothes no longer fit (and that’s the easiest way to tell if you’ve gained weight!) People being what we are, we want to take the easy way out--the magic pill or program that will allow us to lose weight as we eat whatever we choose and sit in front of the television. This will never happen--at least not in our lifetimes!

The best way to lose weight, get in shape, and improve quality of life, is to adopt a program of healthier eating and exercise--for life! Then we’ll never again wonder about those false and misleading ads.

So save yourself time, money, and disappointment--browse our website for information on adopting a healthier lifestyle!
