Curried Split Pea

1 package dry onion-soup mix
1 cup dry split peas
1 carrot, sliced
1 potato, chopped
1 onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon curry powder, or more to taste
Salt and pepper to taste
8 cups water

Place all ingredients in the Crockpot®, set on low heat, cover, and go to work. When you come home, season to taste. Add water if necessary, and blend if you prefer a smooth soup.
